The company plans to begin civil construction work in October upon final environmental permitting, and site assessment at Cape Scott is now under way.
The power project, which is expected to cost more than $300m, will include 55 units of Vestas V100 1.8MW turbine.
The facility will occupy a total footprint of 350 hectares of island bog landscape outside of Cape Scott National Park.
Electricity generated by the wind farm will be sold to BC Hydro under a 20-year agreement, and the project is expected to begin commercial operation in 2013.
