The Chevron operated Wheatstone project located at Ashburton North, 12km west of Onslow in Western Australia, will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tons per annum and a gas plant.

Under the AUD36m ($35.2m) high voltage power cable system contract, Zinfra will build a specialized cable duct bank system using its expertise within the fields of engineering, design, construction and commissioning.

Zinfra managing director Tony Beach said, "Our contribution leverages our vast experience and core capability in design and construction, and draws on our experience in working in remote locations in Australia."

The contract is expected to be completed by January 2016.
