During the first 20 years of operation, the solar power plant is expected to generate approximately $184m in revenue to local businesses, governments and households.
The power plant has been acquired by TerraForm Power, a global owner and operator of clean energy power plants, from its call right list with SunEdison.
SunEdison North America Utility and Global Wind executive vice president Paul Gaynor said: "Regulus is another SunEdison success story in the California utility scale solar market and is an important contributor to the state’s RPS goals.

Power generated from the 737-acre solar PV power plant will be sold to Southern California Edison under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
Featuring approximately 250,000 SunEdison Silvantis solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to ensure maximum reliability and performance, the power plant is designed to generate enough energy to power over 10,000 homes.
SunEdison Services, which provides global 24/7 asset management, monitoring and reporting services, will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the solar power plants.
