The plant, which is likely to go online in the third quarter of 2015, will supply renewable, clean energy for the district heating supply to the town.
Under the contract, Andritz will supply a 35MW EcoFluid bubbling fluidized bed boiler, the fuel handling and flue gas cleaning systems, as well as a steam turbine with all auxiliary systems.
Andritz has attributed the boiler plant’s high efficiency and the modern technology to enhance environmental protection as the reasons to win the contract.
