The scope of the contract includes delivery of three 5MW turbines, an evolution of the G128-4.5 MW WTG, over the course of 2014 as well as will providing O&M services for 10 years. The facility is likely to be commissioned by the end of 2014.

The latest contract is part of a framework agreement signed between the companies in 2012 for supply of 135MW. Under the agreement, Gamesa has already supplied 18MW of its 4.5MW platform to the Simo wind farm, and will also supply turbines to the 54MW Pori wind farm and to the 36MW Tornio facility.

The G128-5.0 MW turbine’s modular design and technology will enable reliability while complying with the international grid-connection codes and environmental standards.
