Under the deal, EC&R has delivered arrays of solar panels for two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in the Tucson, Arizona area that have total capacity of 15MW.
E.ON North America chairman Steve Trenholm said, "These are our maiden solar facilities in the US and signal E.ON’s commitment to solar development in the US market."
The two projects include a 5MW project called Tech Park Solar (TPS) and a 10MW project named Valencia Solar.
Tech Park director Ken Marcus said, "The Tech Park Solar installation is an excellent example of cutting-edge technology being showcased at the UA Tech Park’s Solar Zone."
TPS was developed in collaboration with the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park and TEP, and started generating power in December 2012, while Valencia Solar has been operating since June 2013.
