Under the terms of the contract, Wison Engineering will be involved in the site preparation procurement and construction of land improvement, new tankers, administrative buildings and temporary facilities for the project.

PDVSA vice president Asdrubal Chavez said the site preparation contract for deep conversion project at oil refinery is an important preliminary project.

"The completion of the Puerto la Cruz oil refinery will effectively enhance the heavy oil processing capacity and oil quality in Venezuela, which will constitute a vital impetus to economic growth, employment, and technological innovation and application in the country," Chavez added.

"This partnership will be also conducive to maintaining and deepening trade and economic cooperation between China and Venezuela."

According to Wison Engineering, a consulting team including overseas project management experts have been set up to reduce risk in company’s overseas projects.

The experts will guide overseas team spanning the project lifecycle, ranging from quotation preparation to project execution, said the company.
