The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) has awarded a US$3.9M contract to Koontz Electric Company for work on six power plants in Larimer and Summit counties in Colorado, US.
The contractor will modify rotating exciters and furnish and install new excitation systems at the Flatiron, Pole Hill, Big Thompson, Estes, Marys Lak, and Green Mountain plants. The work is part of routine maintenance.
A notice to proceed with the work is scheduled to be issued on 26 December and the contractor will have three years to complete the project.
