Under the contract, SMA will supply its 130 Sunny Central 800CP-US inverters to the 100MWac utility-scale, ground-mounted PV plant, while following the completion of the project construction, SMA Service will be in charge of operational management of the system for ten years.
The company said that its inverters, which are claimed to be 98.7% efficient, provide grid management functions to address utility requirements and its OptiCool intelligent temperature management system enables outdoor operation in various challenging climates.
SMA has introduced plant-wide O&M services that were made available in three plans, preventative, proactive and performance. These services are expected to increase performance ratios, protect power production, and simplify long-term planning.
Grand Renewable Solar has selected SMA Service’s proactive plan with additional support services for the project.
SMA Canada president Henry Dziuba said the company’s O&M services and inverters are in high demand among investors and plant owners of large-scale PV plants in North America and abroad.
