The order has been awarded on a build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) model for a period of 35 years, Press Trust of India reports citing a company statement.

The company emerged as the successful bidder selected through ‘tariff based competitive bidding guidelines for transmission services’ issued by the Indian Ministry of Power, the statement added.

TEECL managing director P P Gupta said, "After the successful commissioning of the Jhajjar transmission project in Haryana, we are glad to work on yet another project, this time with a 100 per cent SPV under Techno Electric."

Valued at INR1bn ($16m), the project is scheduled to developed through Patran Transmission Company, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) acquired by TEECL from PFC Consulting.
