Under the contract, Guangdong Mingyang will be responsible for wind farm development, providing EPC services and equipment procurement for a 200MW wind farm project.
The project, which is estimated to cost around €400m, is likely to use Ming Yang’s 2MW large rotor diameter wind turbine generators.
The agreement represents a key milestone in the joint cooperation between China and Romania in the field of energy development.
Ming Yang Chairman and CEO Chuanwei Zhang the company is working with Speranta & Succesul and this agreement marks an important milestone in Ming Yang’s overseas expansion strategy.
"Ming Yang expects to leverage this opportunity in Romania as a base of expansion into Europe and intends to supply competitive wind power solutions to customers in the region," added Zhang.
