During drilling, the company discovered 8.6m of uranium mineralization in the hole HK15-33.

The Hook Lake joint venture project is owned jointly by Cameco, Areva Resources Canada and Purepoint Uranium Group. It consists of nine claims totaling 28,683 hectares.

The mineralization is 40m up-dip of drill hole HK15-27, which yielded 12.9% U3O8 over 0.4m within 2.23% U3O8 over 2.8m.

According to the company, the thickness of the mineralization is expected to be 75 to 85% of the intersection lengths.

Drill hole HK15-33 was collared 35m west of the HK15-27 drill hole and was drilled with a dip of -70 degrees.

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC), Geoanalytical Laboratories in Saskatoon will analyze the core samples using partial and total digestion inductively coupled plasma methods.

Purepoint VP Exploration Scott Frostad said: "The Spitfire high-grade intercepts represent the eastern extent of the 14 kilometer Patterson mineralization trend that includes Fission’s newly discovered R600W zone, their Triple R deposits and NexGen’s Arrow deposit and Bow Zone.

"Our new Spitfire intercepts remain open for exploration in most directions and the Patterson trend, which continues for another 8 kilometers on our property, holds tremendous potential for additional mineralization."
