Commissioned by Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water, the $105m contract covers construction in the town of Al-Rawdatain, over the next 22 months.
The project will be carried out in three phases, with the first covering the work for the energization of the RDTN X substation, involving the construction of 76km of transmission lines that will connect the substation with the existing 300kV double circuit transmission line between the Subiya Power Station and the Jahra ‘X’ substation.
Under the second phase, Isolux will built 82km of transmission lines to energize the RDTN W substation.
The transmission lines will be connected to the existing transmission line between Subiya Power Station and Saad Abdulla ‘W’ substation.
As part of third phase, the company will build another 14km of transmission lines to interconnect the RDTN X and RDTN W substations.
Specifically, the T&D works will includ complete design of the towers and foundations, supply of all materials and accessories, civil works, tower erection, stringing and commissioning, among others.
