The partners will work together to develop nuclear energy infrastructure, fundamental and applied researches as well as design, construct and operate nuclear and research reactors.
Additional areas of joint cooperation include production and use of radioisotopes, medicine, agriculture, radioactive waste management, training and preparation of specialist in nuclear physics and nuclear energy, among others.
Through a joint working group, projects will be determined and implemented.
The countries will also launch other joint projects in the areas of mutual interest.
Tunisia Ambassador to Russia Ali Gutali told reporters that Tunisia plans to produce clean electricity using renewable sources to reduce its reliance on oil.
However, the country is considering nuclear energy it is cost effective and environmentally clean, Gutali added.
