MidAmerican and PacifiCorp boost wind folios

PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy, subsidiaries of MidAmerican Energy Holdings, have announced the development of a combined 223.5 MW of new wind capacity in the US.

MidAmerican Energy announced the development of a 123 MW wind project in northwest Iowa, PacifiCorp, meanwhile, has purchased Leaning Juniper 1, a 100.5 MW wind project in the Columbia Gorge region of north central Oregon. The purchase forms part of its commitment to have 400 MW of new renewable resources by the end of 2007.
