The first two 800MW units are part of the first phase of the Lara plant construction. The first phase is expected to start operations in 2016.

As per the order, Yokogawa will supply a CENTUM VP integrated production control system to control boilers and auxiliary facilities, DPharp EJA series differential pressure/pressure transmitters, oxygen and liquid analyzers, a closed circuit television system, a battery-powered UPS system, and a paging system.

All the products will be delivered to NTPC by September 2015. In addition to these products, Yokogawa is responsible for engineering, installation, and commissioning aspects of the project.

In 2013, Yokogawa also supplied control systems for NTPC’s Kudgi supercritical thermal power plant. Throughout the country, Yokogawa India has delivered 12 control systems for different projects.
