Woodward Governor is to supply three digital governing systems for the Kali Gandaki A project in Nepal, under a contract placed with Toshiba.

The governing systems will comprise a simplex MicroNet digital control, HPU and an actuator assembly with a FC1250 control valve, according to Woodward Governor.

The systems will be delivered to the project in December 1999.

Kali Gandaki A is in west-central Nepal and will be the largest hydro project in that country to date. Together the three turbines, each providing a capacity of 48MW, will almost double the country’s generating capacity.
