Under the contract, Wood Group Kenny (WGK) will be responsible for design engineering works for the insulated production flowline system for the offshore gas-condensate fields, including Brecknock, Calliance and Torosa.
In July 2015, Wood Group won a contract to provide for FEED services for the subsea flowline system for the three gas-condensate fields.
The engineering and design of the rigid flowline system will help Browse joint venture partners to make final investment decision in the second half of 2016.
Wood Group Kenny CEO Bob MacDonald said: "This second contract win further builds on Wood Group’s 30 year relationship with Woodside and our role in providing technical and engineering support for the Browse FLNG Development.
"Our Perth-based workforce will assist with development of the configuration design of the flexible risers and umbilicals, following previous Browse FLNG riser conceptual studies carried out by Wood Group Kenny.
"This project also builds on our extensive riser expertise, including participation in the early designs for several other FLNG projects."
Other FEED contractors for the project include the Technip and Samsung Heavy Industries consortium and OneSubsea.
The Woodside Energy-operated Browse FLNG project is being developed by the Browse Joint Venture (JV).
Woodside Energy owns 30.6% stake in the JV while Shell Australia has 27% interest.
Other JV partners include BP Developments Australia with 17.33%, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI Browse) 14.4% and PetroChina International Investment 10.67%. MIMI Browse is equally owned by Mitsui and Mitsubishi.
