The work is set to commence immediately and will replace existing and outdated equipment with new digitally controlled, automated hardware and software that ensures compatibility across all sites of the power generating unit.

"Confirmation of this award reinforces our position as a key power generation controls solution provider and will ensure continuity and reliability of service from this important generating asset," said Wood Group GTS president of power plant services Frank Avery.

Work will be completed by December 2014.

Wood Group GTS is part of the Wood Group business and provides of rotating equipment services and solutions in the energy sector. Services include – repair & overhaul of the wind and steam turbines, pumps and compressors.
