The contract, which has a three year extension option, will include integrated engineering, construction, maintenance and support services for existing PDO facilities onshore in southern Oman.
Wood Group said that its engineering, operations and maintenance expertise, together with CCC’s engineering and construction capabilities and substantial regional resource base in Oman and the Middle East, will bring a complementary service to PDO.
Over the next 10 years, it is estimated that there will be $600bn of investment in oil & gas and petrochemical plants in the region with a need for ongoing operations and maintenance support.
Wood Group board director for Production Facilities Les Thomas said that the company is delighted to have won this important contract and it looks forward to working closely with PDO over the next seven years to achieve their project and business objectives.
