Whiting Petroleum has promoted Heather Duncan to vice president of human resources. Ms Duncan fills the position vacated by Patricia Miller, who retired after nearly 28 years of service with the company.
Ms Duncan will report to James Volker, Whiting’s president and CEO. Ms Duncan joined Whiting in February 2002 as assistant director of human resources and in January 2003 became director of human resources.
Ms Duncan has more than 11 years of human resources experience in the oil and gas industry. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology and an MBA from the University of Colorado. She is a certified professional in human resources.
