Mr Mataczynski, who will join Vulcan once his obligations to RES Americas have ended, will also serve on the company’s board of directors.
As CEO and president of RES Americas, Mr Mataczynski built an organization that constructed 30 wind farms, which generate more than 3,500MW of renewable energy. Before joining RES Americas, he was president and CEO of NRG North America.
Vulcan is a privately-held geothermal developer founded in 1991. It holds a property portfolio of geothermal leases and applications covering approximately 170,000 acres in Nevada, California, Oregon and Arizona.
