Featuring 10 3MW turbines, the wind farm is the second phase of the Areia Branca project.
The Areia Branca project is scheduled to be completed with the commissioning of the 10 3MW turbines of the Carcara 1 wind farm by the end of February 2015.
At end of December 2014, Voltalia’s total production capacity stood at 133.1MW.
Voltalia chief executive officer Sébastien Clerc said: "The launch of second wind farm in Areia Branca (Brazil) marks the end of a year teeming with strategic, operational and financial achievements."
Renewable energy-based electricity producer Voltalia develops and operates multi-energy projects in several sectors that include wind, solar, hydropower and biomass.
The company expects to generate revenue of about €27.6m for the year ended 31 December 2014, a 48% increase from 2013.
