The Nam Pung hydropower project in Vietnam has secured loans from Russian Bank and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.

The loans from the two banks total almost US$4.9M and are almost equal.

Nam Pung is being developed in Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province to give an average output of more than 540M kWh per year, according to government sources.

The Bank for Investment and Development in Vietnam is also one of the financiers supporting the debt funding for the 190MW Dak Mai 4 hydroelectric plant.
