Three commercial Vietnamese banks will jointly provide part of the funding to construct the Dasiat hydro power plant.
A credit loan agreement has been signed by the Bank for Foreign Trade of Viet Nam (VCB), the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank), and the Industry and Commerce Bank (ICB). They will provide the Southern Joint Stock hydroelectricity company with a combined total loan of US$10.3M
The 13.5MW Dasiat hydroelectric power plant, located in Loc Bao commune, Bao Lam district, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, is expected to generate 57.5MkWh/yr when it starts operating.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2007 and will generate power for the Central Highlands provinces of Dac Nong and Lam Dong. Total investment for the plant is US$15.2M.
