Under the contract with CPC Germania, Vestas will supply, install and commission 15 V112-3.3MW turbines for the project. The order includes an option for a further 19 turbines.

The deal also includes a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and a 15-year service agreement.

Vestas expects to deliver the turbines in the third quarter of 2015, with the wind farm commissioning planned at the end of 2015 and the start of 2016.

CPC Germania CEO Markus Tacke said: "For more than 15 years, Vestas has been an important partner for CPC Germania when it comes to successful wind energy projects in Europe."

Vestas Central Europe president Christoph Vogel said: "Vestas looks forward to building on its long-term partnership with CPC Germania and to bringing the Hüselitz project online together with them.

"The turbines of our 3 MW platform are an optimal choice, providing proven technology and low cost of energy – both of which support our customer’s business case."

Vestas entered the German market in 1986 and has to date delivered over 6,900 turbines having a total capacity of 10,000MW.

The company currently has a market share of around 24% in Germany with around 2,000 employees.
