Wind turbine

The deal requires Vestas to deliver 25 of its V90 2MW turbines for the second phase of the HECIC Fengning Senjitu wind farm.

Vestas expects to delivery and commission the turbines at the end of 2015.

The contract, which is the company’s fourth in China this year, includes VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and a two-year service agreement.

Hebei Fengning has currently placed orders with Vestas totaling 320MW.

Vestas Asia Pacific & China president Chris Beaufait said: "Hebei Fengning Construction Investment New Energy placed its first order with Vestas seven years ago, and we are very pleased that the company has now chosen to place its sixth order with us.

"We expect that China will remain the largest onshore market, and we have a strong foundation for improving our regional competitiveness and presence in the country."

Vestas installed its initial wind turbine in China in 1986. Earlier this month, the company secured a contract to supply 24 units of V100-2MW turbines for CGN Fujian Anxi Longmen wind farm project in China.

Denmark-based Vestas has delivered wind energy in 73 countries globally. Wind power from the company’s more than 52,700 turbines presently reduce over 60 million tons of carbon emissions per year.
