Vestas has won a contract from Windpark Kirchberg to deliver turbines for a 26.4MW wind park in Germany.
Under the deal, Vestas will supply, install and commission eight V126-3.3MW turbines at the Kirchberg/Jagst wind farm that is to be built in Hohenlohe region in northeast Baden Wurttemberg.
The Danish firm expects to deliver the turbines in the first quarter of 2016, while commissioning of the wind farm is planned for the second quarter.
The deal also includes a 15-year full-scope Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service agreement and a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
After completion, the wind farm is expected to generate enough electricity to power the needs of over 10,000 local homes.
The Kirchberg/Jagst plant managing directors Ralf Stier and Georg Persigehl said: "With more than 90% of the capital being provided by people from the region, no privately-owned wind farm in southern Germany has as large a citizen share as this great project."

Since 1986, Vestas delivered around 7,000 turbines representing a total capacity of over 10,300MW to the German market.
