Considered as one of the largest in the north-western part of Poland, the wind power plant is being developed as part of an agreement signed between EDF EN and Vestas for Europe and the US in 2011.

Under the contract, Vestas will supply the wind turbine starting in the first quarter of 2015.

The wind turbines will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2015 in the province of Lubuskie near Rzepin.

The EPC contract scope also includes foundation works, supply, installation and commissioning of the 29 V100-2.0 MW turbines as well as a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution and a two-year service agreement (AOM 4000).

Vestas Northern Europe president Klaus Steen Mortensen said: "It is a pleasure for us to announce another large order for Poland and to further build on the long-term partnership with our highly-valued customer EDF EN."

Approximately 540 wind turbines, totalling more than 1,100MW, have been delivered by Vestas in Poland, till date.
