Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has bagged a contract from Enertrag, a European renewable energy producer, to supply seven units of the V112-3.0MW turbine for the Uckermark wind farm in Germany.

The contract includes delivery, installation, spare parts supply and a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution for the wind farm.

Vestas will also provide Active Output-Management 4000, a value-added risk management package that guarantees defined turbine availability and productivity levels, and the delivery of the wind turbines is scheduled for the end of 2011.

Enertrag president Jorg Muller said that Enertrag considers the new V112-3.0MW turbine to be the perfect turbine for its inland sites, where it aims for full load hours within the range of 3,000 per year.

Enertrag operates a fleet of about 500 wind turbines in Europe that generates an annual yield of one and a half billion kWh of electricity.
