Verdiem Corporation (Verdiem), a US-based provider of enterprise PC power management software solutions, has appointed Brett Goodwin as new vice president (VP) of marketing and Jim Flatley as VP of worldwide sales. As VP of marketing, Goodwin will drive product management and marketing with a focus on defining enterprise software and service offerings.

Together they bring a deep bench of experience growing emerging enterprise software companies into established market leaders.

As VP of worldwide sales, Flatley’s primary responsibility will be developing a vibrant channel and partner ecosystem while growing the global customer base for Verdiem’s enterprise software product, SURVEYOR.

“Brett Goodwin and Jim Flatley are instrumental additions to the Verdiem leadership team,” said Jeremy Jaech, chief executive officer of Verdiem. “Their backgrounds in the enterprise and energy management software markets, combined with their proven track records in fostering significant company growth, will help Verdiem capitalize on the growing interest in leveraging green IT and energy management as a way to help global organizations achieve their business profitability and sustainability objectives.”

Prior to joining Verdiem, Goodwin spent six years as the VP of marketing and business development for Isilon Systems, the pioneer and leader in clustered storage software and systems for enterprise customers. Goodwin built and led the global product management, marketing communications, PR and business development team that was instrumental in transforming Isilon from a pre-revenue, pre-product, private company into a publicly traded global leader generating in excess of $100 million in annual revenue.

Goodwin received an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics from Pomona College, and studied at Oxford University, England.

Prior to joining Verdiem, Flatley served for two years as executive vice president of Field Operations for utility computing software company Cassatt, where he doubled year over year revenues. Prior to joining Cassatt, he held the position of executive vice president of worldwide field operations for Tumbleweed Communications. In his four year tenure at Plumtree Software, Flatley grew sales from less than $1 million to over $81 million as the VP of worldwide sales.

Flatley holds a B.B.A. in business administration from Pennsylvania State University.
