Richard Burke, president and chief executive officer of Veolia ES Solid Waste, commented on the appointment. “Ray Bruckert has been a great asset and resource to our company for many years. He has steered the company through countless acquisitions, demonstrating an innate competency in and knowledge of detailed financial issues. His leadership skills will serve him well in this new role.”
As VP and CFO at Veolia ES Solid Waste, Bruckert will be responsible for all accounting and financial issues at the company. In addition, he will continue to oversee the tax function for VENAO. Bruckert stated, “I am excited to have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained from my various roles with the company to further the continued success and growth of the solid waste division.”
Bruckert joined Veolia ES Solid Waste in 1996. Over the next four years, he assisted in business acquisitions, initially as a financial and tax consultant, and ultimately as market developer. In 2000, he was named vice president and treasurer. Prior to joining Veolia, he was with Ernst and Young where he worked for 10 years. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville with a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting and finance.
