Veolia Environmental Services Solid Waste has acquired all the business assets of Georgia-based Milo Sanitation.

The acquisition will allow Veolia to expand its hauling operations in Valdosta, adding 4,000 residential customers and 60 commercial accounts to the existing system.

Veolia said that the waste collected will be internalized at the Veolia ES Evergreen Landfill in Valdosta, Georgia.

Veolia president and CEO Jim Long said that the acquisition of these assets is consistent with the company’s strategy to expand its operations in the southern Georgia region.

Veolia is part of Veolia Environmental Services North America, which provides fully integrated waste, environmental and industrial cleaning solutions to residential, municipal, commercial and industrial customers across the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
