Sempra sells third of LNG capacity to Franco-Belgian giant

Tractebel LNG North America is to be supplied with up to 33% of the processing capacity of Sempra LNG’s Cameron LNG receiption terminal, currently under development near Lake Charles, in Louisianna. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed but it could lead to a 20-year capacity agreement this year with Tractebel receiving 325 – 500 mcf per day. The Cameron terminal, which is due to begin construction later this year, will have an initial capacity of 1.5 bcf/d. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2008.
