Each of the partners will receive €250m for their work, which is due to start at the end of this year.
The €1.9bn wind farm, which will feature 67 Siemen’s 6MW turbines, is expected to be fully operational in 2017.
Highland Group has achieved financial close on the project, which will be financed via a combination of equity, mezzanine loans and loans from banks and export credit agencies.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is providing €250m in the form of a mezzanine loan, and equity will be offered by Siemens Project Ventures and Highland Group.
CIP senior partner Christina Sørensen said: "Veja Mate is a fully developed and procured offshore wind project, with a grid connection on the BorWin2 platform, which from 2017 will deliver stable returns for many years."
