Under the contract, signed in 2011 OJSC "Turboatom" modernizes three propeller-type turbines No.No.11, 17, 18 replacing for Kaplan hydraulic units at Dnepro HPP-II. After modernizing the unit capacity of turbines is expected to increase from 115 MW to 122 MW, average efficiency reaches 93.5% and the runner diameter is expected to increase from 6,8 to 7 m.

"Turboatom" performs "turnkey" contract, the scope of obligations of the enterprise includes design, manufacture, supply of equipment and installation, pre-commissioning and put into operation turbines.

The range of equipment includes embedded parts, runners, guide vanes, shafts, turbine mechanisms and regulating systems.

Start-up of the hydraulic unit No. 18 is scheduled for January 2015, the turbine No. 17 is planned to start in October 2015.

In 2013 after modernizing the hydraulic unit No.11 was put into operation.
