Trinergy wind falls to International Power

International Power has reached an agreement to acquire the 648 MW Trinergy wind portfolio from private investors.

With an enterprise value of €1839 million achieved by the Matrix Group and CJS Capital Partners, Trinergy’s assets include 495 MW in operation and 67 MW under construction in Italy, and a further 86 MW in operation in Germany.

A cash consideration of €868 million will be funded by non-recourse acquisition debt of €300 million and current liquid resources of €568 million from International Power.

The acquisition is expected to complete by the end of the third quarter 2007.
