TRC Companies, an engineering consulting and construction management firm, has won a contract from Central Maine Power to provide engineering, design and procurement services associated with the modification and expansion of five existing substations in the US state of Maine.

Under the $11.4m contract, the company will deliver detailed designs for the expansion of the substations, both 345kV and 115kV in size.

TRC will also manage the procurement of materials associated with design and construction, and will provide overall project management services.

The project is part of Central Maine Power’s Maine Power Reliability Program (MPRP) to modernize the state’s transmission system.
