Tournigan Energy has reported 94% of uranium and 98% of molybdenum recoveries from metallurgical test work conducted by Hazen Research, Golden, Colorado.

The company said that the results confirm the use of alkaline leaching for the Kuriskova deposit resources.

The metallurgical test work was performed on a Zone 45 composite grading 0.404% U3O8 and 0.278% Mo.

The test work was recently completed at Hazen using the same alkaline-pressure oxidation leaching parameters used for test work on the Kuriskova Main Zone uranium mineralization.

Zone 45 is the high grade zone of uranium mineralization that was discovered and expanded during last year’s drilling program at Kuriskova.

This test work is part of the ongoing pre-feasibility study for the Kuriskova uranium project in Slovakia.

The metallurgical program at Hazen will continue in 2011 as Tournigan progresses in defining the process plant flow sheet for the pre-feasibility study.
