The additional claims are northeast of the State of Maine property and immediately adjacent to the company’s current holdings.
According to the company, the 22 additional BLM lode claims total approximately 440 acres.
Tombstone said these claims were staked because the ZTEM survey indicated that this area is one of a number of prolific targets.
The geology and mineralization of the newly staked claims support the ZTEM data, which indicates that a deep seated, large mineralized structure underlies the area.
Tombstone president Alan Brown said this area is one of the company’s primary targets developed by the ZTEM survey, and has a signature of a porphyry copper or a Resolution style copper deposit.
