The agreement will further support standardization of Technip’s document management processes using Tieto’s ProArc solution.

– This is a milestone agreement for us. Technip is one of the world’s leading oil services companies and we look forward to adding value to its operations, says Anders Johnsen, Head of ProArc at Tieto.

In order to remain cost effective and to increase efficiency, Technip is focusing on standardization and automation of its processes.

– We believe ProArc meets Technip’s demands as it is a proven and standardized industry solution for document management. We look forward to starting the co-operation, Johnsen adds.

The most important outcome for this agreement is to see standardization of software solution across the entities in Technip’s North Sea Canada (NSC) region where the deployment will begin – this includes Technip’s UK, Norway and Canada offices – yet recognizing that some degree of flexibility is essential.

ProArc has out-of-the-box functionalities, built-in flexibility, and a proven track record in delivering this type of project.

Through award of this new contract with Technip, Tieto is reinforcing its strong position within the oil and gas industry. Tieto already co-operates with a number of companies in this sector, delivering IT and business transformation, cloud solutions, infrastructure operations, data centre services, hydrocarbon accounting, personnel logistics and POB management.

Amid the current industry downturn, standardization and cost efficiency is a key priority for many organizations. Tieto supports its customers with products and service that help to reduce costs and streamline processes.
