ThinkEco said that it will develop a version of the modlet that is fully compatible with the Tendril Connect energy management platform, so that utilities using Tendril’s platform will be able to easily incorporate the user-friendly modlet as part of their customer offering to eliminate plug-load costs.
ThinkEco president and CEO Jun Shimada said this partnership brings together a consumer-friendly home energy management product that people want to use, with the extended reach enabled by Tendril’s market-leading, open standards-based energy platform for energy service providers.
Tendril CEO Adrian Tuck said that the integration of ThinkEco’s modlet plug-load solution into the company’s energy platform is a smart way for it to bring together home energy management devices and demand-response applications under one platform.
The two companies expect to make the product available in the next six months.
