Russia’s Power Machines group and Ukrainian state company Ukrinterenegro have signed a contract for the delivery of equipment to reconstruct the 120MW Thak-Ba hydro power plant in Vietnam.
In a contract worth US$1.3M, Power Machines will manufacture a turbine oil pressure unit, generator and new static excitation system for the second 40MW power unit of Thak-Ba, and monitor its erection. Ukrinterenegro is carrying out reconstruction of the plant.
This follows the reconstruction work Power Machines performed in 2003-2004 on the first power unit. Thak-Ba was originally built in 1976.
