Texas Instruments Incorporated (Texas Instruments), a manufacturer of semiconductors, has elected Alan C. Boyd as new vice president (VP) and director of financial reporting. Boyd has joined the company in 1986 and most recently served as public reporting manager, where he prepared public financial statements. He has also served as finance director for Texas Instruments (Philippines), Inc., a subsidiary of the company.

In this role, Boyd develops and maintains the integrity of company’s financial reporting process and financial controls and ensures that all transactions comply with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Alan’s extensive financial and accounting experience will make him a vital asset to TI, said Charles R. Miller, vice president and controller. His global insights and deep understanding of TI’s business will make him an instrumental addition to the team.

Boyd is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
