Telvent claims that the new system will enhance security, operational efficiency and supply extra expansion capacity and revenue potential for the operator.

Under the new contract, Telvent supervisory control and data acquisition (OASyS SCADA) system and advanced gas suite applications will be installed at the Jakarta Headquarters and five local pipeline Area Control Centers serving North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, Kalimantan and South Sumatra.

The new OASyS information management infrastructure deployed at these centers will combine real-time and historical measurement data to yield timely measurement, quality and accounting information.

The gas management system will help Pertamina meet optimization goals for its pipeline networks operations, receipt and delivery operations and develop overall business performance, Telvent said.
