French oil services company Technip has received a contract worth about EUR70m ($94.7m) for the phase 1 of a heavy residue hydro-cracking complex to be built at the refinery located in Burgas, Bulgaria.

French oil services company Technip has received a contract worth about EUR70m ($94.7m) for the phase 1 of a heavy residue hydro-cracking complex to be built at the refinery located in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The contract, which is slated to be completed in May 2013, was awarded by Burgasnefteproekt EOOD, a Lukoil engineering subsidiary.

The contract includes the detailed engineering and procurement services for a 2.5 million tons/year residue hydro-cracker based on Axens H-Oil process, as well as amine, sour water stripper and hydrogen production units.

Technip’s operating center in Rome will execute this contract.

This contract follows the successful execution of the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract by the group.
