The project covers the engineering, procurement, supply, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning as well as assistance to start-up and performance test of the 40MW power plant (expandable to 100MW).

The power plant will utilize the gas associated with oil production in Kharir field located in the Block 10 of East Shabwa, Yemen, to produce electrical power for the industrial facilities and operations within the field.

It will include two dual-fuel turbine generators, a fuel gas compressor, containerized substations, transformers, utilities and control/safety systems.

Technip’s operating center in Abu Dhabi will be responsible for the overall project management, engineering, procurement and commissioning.

Hawk International will be responsible for the project’s site management, construction and pre-commissioning activities.
