The 202MW order comprises of 24 units of Suzlon’s S88 2.1MW wind turbine generators (WTGs), 34 units of its S82 1.5MW WTGs and 48 units of its new S95 2.1MW WTGs.

The first phase of 101.4MW will be commissioned in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu by June 2011, and the second phase of 100.8MW will be commissioned by December 2011.

Techno Electric is an independent power producer with operational wind power projects of more than 95MW, set-up and operated by Suzlon, in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Suzlon chairman and managing director Tulsi Tanti said that Suzlon is committed to build the backbone of the nation with installation of large scale wind power projects, which will contribute towards energy security and sustainable economic development of India.
