The projects will be owned by SunEdison or SunEdison affiliates, including Yieldcos.

Power generated from the solar plants will be sold to various entities through power purchase agreements (PPA).

SunEdison Asia Pacific operations president Pashupathy Gopalan said: "This is yet another milestone in the journey of SunEdison in India to build a strong pipeline of projects that will be developed and commissioned in the coming years.

The PPA’s would be signed in the next two to three months, Gopalan added.

KREDL intends to promote renewable energy and initiate all required actions for energy conservation in the state.

SunEdison manufactures solar technology and develops, finances, installs and operates distributed solar power plants.

The company, through its Renewable Operation Center (ROC), provides asset management, monitoring and reporting services for solar systems worldwide.
