Under the contract, Sulzer will provide 40 pumps for the Guangxi Oil Refinery Project Phase II.

The total delivery will include 18 pumps for the diesel oil hydrotreating unit, 12 pumps for the residue hydrodesulfurization unit, and 10 pumps for the oil storage and transportation unit and utility unit.

The pumps will increase the facility’s capacity to refine high sulfur crude oil and produce diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas and petrochemical products.

PetroChina’s Guangxi oil refinery will have a total capacity of 10 million tons per year and it will supply fuels to the south western areas of the country.

Sulzer will manufacture 34 pumps in China, while the remaining six will be manufactured in Germany.
